Independence Day

On the fourth day of July every year, my nation celebrates it’s declaration of independence as a colony from the United Kingdom. We have done this for 233 years now. Sure, the celebration has changed some since those early days. But the initial spark of that celebration is embodied in a document that is the foundation of our country’s ideals – though we may sometimes fail to live up to those ideals.

Take some time to listen to the words our founding fathers wrote and agreed upon to start our two-plus century history.

Or feel free to read it yourself. I think I shall, today.

Enjoy your weekend, and your freedom, no matter where you are. The passion and reason behind these words are on your side, as are most of my fellow citizens of these, the United States of America.
