25,000 and counting

I finally made it past 25,000, the half-way point, tonight. I know, I know. I'm 3 days late.

Better late than never!

The 25,000th word was "also" and the sentence was:
But it also seemed totally like the kind of asshole rule a small business owner would make his or her employees enforce.
I have some research to do for my upcoming scenes, too, but I'll probably write around the information I need, note them for later, and then go back and fix them after I hit 50,000.

But in case anyone out there is reading this, here's some questions you can help me by answering (all of these pertain to Portland, OR):
  1. What, if any, shops are open on SE Hawthorne Blvd at 5 AM on a weekday?
  2. How long has it been since the Oregon Employment Division closed its field offices?
  3. How much does a traffic ticket cost?
  4. How much does it cost to get a car out of impound these days?
  5. What's it cost, and what's the process, for buying a cell phone that's not on a contract, where you buy minutes on a pay-as-you-go plan?

I'll add more as I come to them. Gee, they're mostly about money, huh? Go figure...
