He lived a long life

Setting aside his politics, Charlton Heston was the star of three movies that were very influential on me as a geeky kid.

The last two movies even produced geek catch-phrases that have stood the test of time:

"Soylent Green is people!"


and "Get yer stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!"


Charton Heston also starred in many a Western, which always reminds me of my mom. She loved Westerns.

Rest in peace, Charlton Heston. 83 years is a long time.
