Politics

The nice white-haired lady, a fellow customer at my favorite coffee shop just 10 minutes ago, laughed and laughed when I advanced the notion that perhaps the corporate world would be a little more up-front about the cut-throat and anti-employee decisions they made.

I thought I was being properly cynical.

She thought I was being hopelessly naive.

I smiled and sipped my coffee, while waiting for my bus.

Comments:
I can appreciate this posting. In fact, rather interestingly, I was thinking of the style of writing you provided to showcase this scenario. I can't put my finger on as to why I like it, yet I very much do. It speaks to me, as they say.

I want to know more about the woman. I want to know more this relationship you two had, even though it was no more than a few seconds, perhaps a couple minutes.

I apologize for analyzing it, yet it oddly affected me. I appreciated it. Maybe it is how people misperceive our intentions? Or their lack of respect toward other people's values? The me belief system, perhaps?

No matter. Thank you for this little scene in your life. I look forward to some more!
